Luminaries Creative Scouts ("Luminaries," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit joinluminaries.com, enroll in our programs, or otherwise interact with our services (the "Services").

1. Information We Collect

  • Parent/Guardian information: name, email, phone, billing address, payment details processed by our payment provider.
  • Child information (provided by you): first name, age, allergies, emergency contact, and program-related notes.
  • Account information: login credentials and preferences on the member portal.
  • Program artifacts: photos, artwork, and progress notes captured during programming.
  • Automatically collected: IP address, device and browser data, cookies, and analytics events.

2. How We Use Information

  • To deliver programs, communicate with families, and manage enrollment and billing.
  • To keep children safe (allergy awareness, emergency contact).
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Services.
  • To send occasional newsletters and updates (you may unsubscribe at any time).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The Services are directed to parents and guardians, not to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Any child information we hold is provided by a parent or guardian for the purpose of program participation, and is used only to deliver the Services. Parents may review, update, or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting hello@joinluminaries.com.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only:

  • With trusted service providers (payment processing, hosting, email, analytics) under confidentiality obligations.
  • With pod facilitators and staff strictly to deliver the Services.
  • When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Luminaries, participants, or the public.
  • In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets), subject to this Policy.

5. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and analyze site usage. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not function correctly.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion at any time (subject to legal retention requirements).

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@joinluminaries.com. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA; we do not sell or "share" personal information as defined under those laws.
