Week 1
Drawing: Learning to Look
Observation drawing, blind contour, and memory drawing. Little Luminaries turn it into looking games; Rising Luminaries push into serious observation.
16 Weeks of Making
Learn to See → Make → Solve → Build Together. Every project is chosen because it teaches a real creative skill, adapted for Little (5–7) and Rising (8–10) Luminaries.
Week 1
Observation drawing, blind contour, and memory drawing. Little Luminaries turn it into looking games; Rising Luminaries push into serious observation.
Week 2
Collage, texture rubbings, and pattern exploration, children begin to notice surface as design language.
Week 3
Cardboard construction, balance, and small environments. Children build three-dimensional worlds that hold together.
Week 4
Flip books, storyboarding, and a simple stop-motion sequence. Ideas become time-based.
Week 5
Block printing on paper and fabric. Rising Luminaries design a pod pattern; Little Luminaries stamp with pre-cut blocks.
Week 6
Stitching, weaving, and wrapping. Children learn to join materials without glue and feel how fiber holds structure.
Week 7
Hand-building a small useful vessel. Rising Luminaries decide form before touching clay; Little Luminaries feel their way in.
Week 8
Design an object that solves a small everyday problem, applying techniques from Phase 2. A bridge into problem-solving.
Week 9
Plant identification, texture and color, and useful natural materials. Observation becomes a survival skill.
Week 10
Natural dyes and pigments. Rising Luminaries treat color like a lab; Little Luminaries paint with real earth and plants.
Week 11
How do you carry water when your hands need to be free? Rising Luminaries design a full carrier; Little Luminaries learn three friendly knots.
Week 12
Pods receive a creative problem and a limited materials kit. A team solution is prototyped, tested, and presented.
Week 13
The pod receives a real brief: produce the Luminaries Exhibition. Wunder Mix taste-testing, blend decisions, and pod roles begin.
Week 14
Wunder Mix production day: mixing, bagging, packaging, pricing, and building the story on the label.
Week 15
The market runs. The pod sells Wunder Mix, reviews earnings, and decides collectively what the exhibition needs, signs, invitations, display, snacks.
Week 16
Opening night. Pods finish install, host families, present their work, and close the season with the Crest ceremony.
Session Capstone
Phase 4 is a single continuous capstone. The pod learns to make Wunder Mix, sells it at the Luminaries Market, and collectively decides how the earnings help make the final exhibition happen.
